Cömert called up by Switzerland for the 2026 World Cup

The defender already played in this tournament at Qatar 2022

Valencia CF player Eray Cömert has been called up by the Swiss national team for the 2026 World Cup, which will be played in Canada, the United States and Mexico from June 11 to July 19.

Cömert will play in a World Cup for the second time after having already done so at Qatar 2022. In addition, the Swiss defender has extensive experience with his national team after also competing in European Championship qualifiers and the UEFA Nations League.

Switzerland have been drawn in Group B alongside Qatar, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Canada. Their first match in the tournament will be on June 13 at 21:00 hours.
